The time has come for me to say good bye to this blog and to move forward to a new blog which allows me to post larger images & gives me a lot more freedom to customize it.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! I hope you had a fantastic christmas and new year.

Well December ended up being very busy with loads of shoots so the new look blog didn't happen for 1st January as hoped!! I am however very excited to be launching the new blog this month. There is so much work I need to blog from the past few months too which will keep me very busy through January :-)

2011 is going to be an exciting year for Clear Moments Photography and I look forward to sharing it as it happens here on the blog.

Well thats enough from me for now as I have lots to do to get this new blog up and running - See you soon.

In July I hired a hall in Purley to hold some studio sessions.

By hiring out the hall instead of having a permanent studio I am able to offer my clients some very good prices for their photographs or cd's.

Every client who came this day I had photographed before. It was lovely to see and capture the children growing up & to meet their new baby brothers and sisters too. They where all a joy to photograph, we had lots of laughs. :-)

Chloe & Leon's Wedding - Friday 2nd July 2010 - St Andrew's Church, Blunsdon & Blunsdon House Hotel

Chloe & Leon bumped into each other on an evening out having not seen each other for years & fell in love. They married on a very hot Friday afternoon in Swindon three years later.

Leon learnt quickly if he was to spend any time with Chloe he would need to share her love for horses. He is now actually very talented in shows winning awards.

Their mutual passion for horses left the choice of transport very easy.

"Trouble & Strife" arrived early at the hotel where Chloe and her bridesmaids where getting ready. On seeing the beautiful white horses from the balcony, Chloe was in tears of happiness.

I hope Chloe and Leon are enjoying their honeymoon and wish them a very happy marriage.

Leo Andrew David - Christening at St Michaels Church, Easthampstead

On Sunday I photographed a very special little man's christening. The sun was out and Leo was the perfect baby boy posing for the camera all day although he had a much needed long nap in between to recover from being centre of attention.

Following the service his parents held a celebration at their home which was very well organized and looked fantastic, all their guests enjoyed a champagne, good music and lots of cuddles with the little star - Leo.

Well done Vicky & Gary for hosting a fantastic day & congratulations on your wedding anniversary today. :-)

Neil & Claire - Renewal of Wedding Vows - The Brockenhurst Hotel, Ascot - Friday 4th June

Having met Neil & Claire whilst photographing their friends wedding, I was thrilled when they contacted me to ask me to photograph their special day.

Five years on from the original wedding in Las Vegas the day finally arrived to declare their love and commitment to one another in front of their family & friends by renewing their marriage vows in a beautiful ceremony which left some of the guests in tears.

Neil & Claire looked beautiful and Neil impressed everyone during the speeches (including me) with a poem that he wrote for Claire it was both emotional and very funny.

The weather was beautiful and the whole day was beautiful too.

I look forward to photographing Neil and Claire at home with their much loved dogs and chickens soon. :-)

Hayley & Christopher's Wedding - Saturday 8th May 2010

Hayley & Christopher had been planning their wedding a while now and they married at a beautiful little church - St Andrews Church in Frimley Green in Surrey after spending a happy eight years together. :)

I met Hayley and her parents a few times at Easthampstead Park - the only fair which I exhibit at - so already felt like I knew them all anyway.

I arrived at Hayley's parents home early to find every room occupied by girls. Hayley's parents are so chilled out & where wonderful hosts to everyone including me - thank you :-). Their home had been taken over by women. A bride (Hayley), eight bridesmaids, their son's girlfriend, hair dresser, photographer (me).

Well done Mrs Eife (Hayley's mum) for making all those bridesmaid dresses!!!!

A reception followed at Easthampstead Park in Wokingham - Have I ever mentioned I love that venue?

Although it rained a bit on the day we still managed to get lots of great photographs outside. Hayley and Chris seemed soooo happy and in love, they did not stop smiling all day. They will be returning from their honeymoon very soon and I wish them lots more happiness and a wonderful marriage.

Anne & Nick - Wednesday 14th April 2010 - An unforgettable honeymoon with volcanic ash causing flight disruptions !

Having met Anne a few times when I photographed her brothers wedding in 2008 & at some of her friends weddings that I was lucky enough to photograph too over the past few years, I was thrilled when she asked me to photograph her wedding.

Anne & Nick decided on an intimate ceremony at the beautiful grade II listed Winchfield House in Winchfield, Hampshire to be followed by two big receptions which are still to follow = Anne gets to wear her dress two more times :-)

Below I have posted some of my favourite images.

I do not normally write such long posts but thought I would include what happened on their honeymoon:

Thursday evening after a lovely day strolling around Paris in ignorance they found out about the volcanic ash
Friday they went to the airport, to be told that the first flight they could get to Bastia (Corisca) was on Monday. All trains to south of France (thought they could beat the ash down there!) were fully booked or cancelled due to SNCF strike and all rental cars were booked out from Paris! They stayed an extra night in Paris next to the train station and booked the 06:56 train from Paris to Bourges (even though they are not morning people!) and hired a car from Bourges to Marseille, Booking a hotel next to Marseille airport.
On Saturday they had a 2hr train journey & 8hr car journey down the length of France (which they found was really fun, through mountains etc) to stay in Marseille, next to the airport. Booked the 09:05 flight for Sunday to Bastia.
On Sunday their was still no flights. So they spent a relaxing day chilling out with no air-traffic noise to disturb their reading by the pool! Booking a 09:05 flight for Monday to Bastia and spent another night next to Marseille airport.
On Monday Marseille, Nice & Toulouse airports allowed to open from 06:00 - 15:00, so luckily, they were able to get their 09:05 flight to Bastia - arrived by 10:00am to have 2 nights instead of 5 nights in Corsica.

...the rest of the honeymoon went without a hitch! Anne & Nick got the ferry to Italy for 2 nights in Rome and then the train to the Amalfi coast for 6 nights in Nocelle.

Anne and Nick are an inspiration, despite all the cancellations they just got on and had a fantastic time on honeymoon making the most of all the situations they found themselves in.

I think this is going to be a very happy marriage, thanks Anne & Nick for asking me to photograph your special day. I love my job spending time with such beautiful people in beautiful locations.

Paula & Jame's Wedding - Saturday 10th April 2010 - Christ Church, Reading, Berkshire

When I met Paula and James for their pre wedding meeting at the church where they where to be married, it was a shock to find the groom-to-be actually had the keys to the very grand and beautiful church - Christ Church in Reading, Berkshire.

I soon found out that James dad is the priest-in-charge at Christ Church which explained this. His father Rev, David West would not be taking the service however as this would be too emotional. Keeping the wedding service very personal Jame's uncle Venerable Malcolm Colmer, Archdeacon of Herefordshire prepared and took the service for James and Paula.

The service was very personal and beautiful to watch. James uncle also provided light hearted humour to the service too, which completed a truly beautiful service.

James joked he could have been an advert for andrex as he shed so many tears.

James and Paula held their reception at The Blue Room at Reading university. Everyone had a fantastic time and the day was made complete by the sun shining.

Thank you Paula and James for a beautiful day, I really enjoyed photographing your special day and am pleased you both are so happy with your photographs.

Denise & Chris - Wednesday 10th March 2010 - A very local wedding

This was my third wedding of the year. My first Wednesday wedding ever and the most local wedding ever with the church being just a few steps away from my front gate!

I just popped my bags on my shoulder and walked over to the church in the morning to await the arrival of Chris the groom and his David his best man.

Chris and Denise amazed me as they planned this wedding in a matter of weeks, (I took eighteen months to plan mine). I believe mum was a huge help with the preparations too. Following a beautiful service Chris and Denise held their reception at The Mill House in Swallowfield. Guests where served a delicious afternoon tea.

Thank you to the wonderful staff who really spoilt me with a plate of cakes and large cup of tea, what kind service? :-)

All the speeches where thoughtful and funny. The best man did a great job! I love speeches.

Congratulations Denise and Chris I think I enjoyed your day nearly as much as you. It was an honour to photograph your special day.

Saturday Portrait Sessions - 13th March 2010

I have been running these studio sessions for quite a few months now and they are becoming very popular and spaces fill up very fast.

I am able to keep prices of packages very reasonable (£28.50-£100.00) as I hire a local hall out for these sessions rather then run a full time studio with large over heads.

Baby Harry - Photo Shoot at home

Last Sunday I photographed Baby Harry at his home in Berkshire.

I had photographed his parents wedding back in 2007 so was excited to catch up with Anna & Eddie and their new addition.

"Your early" Anna said as she answered the door. Unfortunately for them they had forgot to put their clocks back the night before and found their photographer on their doorstep at 9.30am their time. 10.30am my time!

I enjoyed a cup of tea with them after they had changed out of their dressing gowns and we all had a little giggle. :-)

It was great to see them all and luckily mummy had already bathed Harry and had him ready for his shoot anyway!

Harry performed well and although we didn't get smiles we caught some very cute photographs of him.

I look forward to photographing all the family in May.

Tot's Photos - March 2010

Last week I returned to my daughters old tots group to photograph some of the kids there.

Today I returned with the proofs to hand out to the mums who where kind enough to let me use some of their images.

Sienna came with me and to hand out all the proofs and ended up making a cute easter basket at their creative table (they even put some chocolate eggs in there for us) and having a couple of the mum's chocolate biscuits too!!! Mummy enjoyed a cup of tea and a chat with some of the mums too :-)

Valentines Day Wedding

On 14th February Kerrie and Leon married at Easthampstead Park in Wokingham. I knew from our pre wedding meeting that I would love working with them. They have been together since their early teens and are great together.

The star of the day was Reece their son who done a wonderful job as paige boy and carrying the rings down the aisle. "Well done Reece".

I received an email of Kerrie the very next day, before they went off on honeymoon thanking me for my services on the day and telling me that her new husband had done her proud with his speech. How sweet is this girl?

Kerrie and Leon are a couple you cannot help but love and I wish them a very long and happy marriage.

Leo at One Month Old

Leo's mum booked this photo shoot as soon as she found as she was pregnant! These photographs where taken when Leo hit the big 'one month old' at home where Leo was very comfortable having his milk in between photographs!

This Saturday his mum has booked a studio shoot for Leo, his big sister Courtney and big brother Robert. Will be blogging some from that shoot soon. :)

We bumped into Alex & Ellen on their Golden Wedding Anniversary

Myself and my eldest daughter where very happy to meet Alex & Ellen whilst doing a photo shoot at St Mary's Church in Purley on 28th November 2009.

Fifty years to the day Alex and Ellen had married at St Mary's Church and they decided they would wander down and re-visit the church having moved from the village. They thought would only get a chance to look from the outside being a Saturday, but to their surprise found the doors open and myself, my daughter and my camera inside.

We got chatting and I found it so beautiful that Alex and Ellen still looked so happy and radiant after 5o years of marriage and romantic that they where visiting the very church where they took their vows all those years ago. I was more then happy for them to take a wander round the church which would bring back so many happy memories.

My daughter who is always very thoughtful suggested that I photographed them, we decided we would mount the photograph and give them it as a gift.

It gave me a good feeling to be able to do this for them and they where so great full.

It was one of the most special photographs that I have ever taken at the altar and totally unplanned.

We hope Alex and Ellen will have many more happy years together.

First wedding of 2010 - Amanda & Mark - Easthampstead Park in Wokingham - 6th February 2010

The first wedding of 2010 was at the wonderful Easthampstead Park in Wokingham. I absolutely love photographing at this destination the staff are really kind, the grounds are beautiful.

It was a beautiful day if a little chilly but the sun shone and all the guests had a fantastic time celebrating the wedding of Amanda and Mark.

Amanda looked beautiful and chose her two daughters to be her bridesmaids. The bridesmaids managed to look both beautiful and funky. Amanda's niece - an alternative model looked great and her voice was absolutely amazing when she sang after the wedding service.

Thank you Amanda and Mark for reminding me why I love what I do and to look forward to photographing many more weddings in 2010.

Tot's Photo Sessions

I have enjoyed taking some of the tot's portraits this year at some of the groups that I visit with my youngest daughter Sienna.

I am in the process of working on a New Look Blog which is going to be bigger and better and will be here soon so sorry for neglecting this blog recently.

Pregnancy is such a special time in a women's life. Having had a wonderful pregnancy shoot done myself with my second pregnancy, this has inspired me to want to help women look and feel their best whilst documenting this truly beautiful time in their life's offering professional photography in the comfort of their own homes.

Below I have posted some shots from the very relaxed and fun shoots of Clara and Vicky.

This involves a trained and experienced beauty therapist visiting the pregnant lady first and indulging her in superb one to one health and beauty treatments. If you are getting married and are available this Sunday please come and visit my stand at Easthampstead Park wedding fair. I would love to see you there and hear all about your wedding.

Being one of this venues recommended photographers, I have photographed many weddings here and love the venue. The fair is really friendly too both for visitors and the people holding their stands there.

The fair is at a beautiful venue and runs between 11am - 3pm. They do lovely free coffee too :O)
